Hey folks, just wanted to provide some additional details and more information about the fixes!
King of the Hill: We added the ability for The Coalition to tweak more playlist settings (on the back end), such as ability to set ring order, ability to set if player must remain in ring to capture points, ability to set how fast a ring can be captured, ability to set spawn protection time. We also tweaked some of the rings and spawns based on beta feedback. We will evaluate how these settings work best for Social/Competitive playlists.
A note about the Gnasher: We addressed several issues with the shotgun, specifically some issues with the spread, "one-shot downing", headshots that shouldn't register as headshots, and some other inconsistencies. Damage will remain similar to Gears 1. In general, all weapon damage/balance should remain consistent with the feel of the original Gears of War.
A note about the Longshot: A lot of you have commented on removing the active down on the Longshot. Some really like it, some don't. Please be aware that although active downs has been removed, the Longshot still receives an active damage boost (still does a lot of damage to a player) and also reduces bloom/aim error on active reload. We believe these changes will still keep the Sniper as a strong power weapon (in internal playtests the Sniper is very powerful and played for power weapon on maps). This setting is not toggle-able in private matches, but Actives ON/OFF are available to toggle but please be aware the active ON for Longshot will be for the damage bonus and aim bonus on active reload. As always, we do listen to your feedback so after the game comes out and the community gets a chance to play and test out these changes, we will look at any adjustments that are needed based on feedback.
Some information on additional bugs we fixed: we minimized the DBNO teleporting bug and DBNO double revive animation, world glitching, some bugs with alternate control scheme, invisible player and multiplayer players per team issues, issue where players were sometimes unable to pick up weapons, and hundreds of other bugs and issues thanks to your feedback and help
