Das wär echt cool. aber die neuesten news:
Starts out with some Twilight Creatures in some sort of dark castle (Hyrule Castle?). I'll assume the castle is in the Twilight Realm, but instead of being all rainbowy like the redone Twilight Realm, it still seems gloomy, like the ones seen in the earlier trailers. The Twilight Creatures look slightly different from the ones we've seen thus far: One of them looks totally different, almost like it's wearing a robe of sorts, the other two look like modified versions of the Twilight enemies we've seen before.
Goes to Cowboy Link, Epona, Colin and a couple of unidentified people. One has a sword. Epona's loaded up with wood for some reason or another. Colin goes with the man with the sword over a rope bridge, while Link (in his cowboy outfit) smiles at him.
Next up is the transformation sequence. Cowboy Link is walking through a path, when suddenly it turns into the Twilight Realm. This is odd because the area looks fine, green and grassy, then suddenly changes to the rainbow hue we've seen before. He transforms into a Wolf, and is dragged away. The transformation is different than the one we've seen before, with a more abrupt transformation. We see Midna, and next see some gameplay of Wolf Link and Midna attacking some Twilight Creatures. The attack seems to be drawing a circle or expanding it under the Twilight Creatures, and then Wolf LInk attacks all of them quickly. We next see Link in the classic outfit. There's more gameplay, nothing particularily new but a town scene is shown with about 20 people in it, very impressive. The town is similair to the one we've seen briefly last year, but with a lot more activity in it, merchants and such instead of just townspeople. Also, Link canoes down a rushing river.
Few quick cuts of cutscenes, showing (among others) PRINCESS ZELDA! She's wearing her pink outfit seen in the concept art, and looks a lot more like an adult than she ever has before. Zelda is casting some sort of elaborate spell, very pretty effects with lots of white light circling around her on an all black background.
The trailer ends with Link pulling out the Master Sword and holding it up. The scene is the same in the earlier trailer, in a gloomy castle like area with Midna looking on. Seeing as Midna is there, this is most likely the Twilight Realm. The sword is quite a bit longer than any other game.
und ( ich glaub das is fürn DS: Here's a little storytime I whipped up.
So I was lucky enough to spin something creative enough to get an invite to the first of nintendo.com.au's Wii parties last night (Something about my tendency to play DS while driving).
It was a 2 hour gathering of about 40 people (and a few parents) at Nintendo's headquarters in scoresby, in Melbourne's east..
The Building itself was quite amazing, huge sparkling office complex from the outside, big foyer area inside with plenty of framed "smash brothers - 100000 sales" kinda plaques, along with a pikachu and mario statue. After munching down some nibbles (I must have been the only person out of 50 or so to actually eat....), we were invited into the games room, which was amazing to say the least. Long room, low ceiling, mood lighting, and plenty of Wii's set up, with themed floors/sets for each game. Who ever came up with the design of that room deserve a pat on the back and cocktail.
Zelda - New footage and intro. Yep, first off we were treated to a 'power on' sequence from the new zelda. Upon start-up , you see Link riding a horse across spanse fields at dusk, as harmonious music plays until the Title appears; Very similiar to the beginning of OoT, and a nice touch from the game developers. I had shivers watching the video. It led onto a few seconds of "Press A+B" to start before the delayed intro video started, showing a bunch of gameplay and cut scences, involving link turning into a wolf and attacking a bunch of masked creeps. I didn't get to play it, as there was always a bunch of people waiting and i was too busy chatting with the Nintendo staff, and to be honest I was a little scared and nervous to go near it, but it only adds to the anticipation. Zelda will surely blow your mind.
After the intro, it was game on. Teenagers ran, children screamed, parents rolled their eyes (but also seemed curious...) and I went straight for the couch with a bowl of MnMs. Leaving a few for the rest of the buzzing crowd, I wandered around, checking out some other people playing, waiting for my time to get my hands on a 'Wii-mote' . I finally gave in and went for the new duck hunt - an old classic to ease my way into it. I'll say this straight off the bat - the control was a lot smaller and a hell of a lot more responsive than I'd expected. So much so that a lot of people opted for pinning their elbow by their side and securing their aim by grasping their fore-arm with their non-control hand. After getting used to it though, it was a hell of a lot of fun. You play through several stages, shooting various targets, competing against other players (you're all shooting at once).
Next up was Exite-truck, which probably seemed the most innovative of the games I played, funnily enough. After driving myself into several trees in the first few seconds, it became apparent that any slight movement in the control (you hold is sideways like a steering wheel), leads to a huge response on screen. Once getting used to the responsiveness of the control however, the game was really quite amazing. Lots of jumps, hitting items causes the road/track to rise and fall in certain places, and incredible speed make this game an interesting one. Tilting the control forward or back tilts the truck mid-air, along with your usual boosting and brakes. Warioware didnt really interest me after the DS version was returned after I gold starred everything in a few hours, although obviously with the new control, it offers a wider range of games, requiring you to do all sorts of odd stuff with the remote (hands on hips and 'hula', hand on head and squat, waiter hold, umbrella hold, trigger hold to put a grannies teeth back in). It's the kind of thing that would be a fair bit of fun after a few drinks with a bunch of people with the difficulty jacked up (was only demo version - easy), but single player doesn't offer much. Wii is supposed to be the party console after all.....
So where does that leave me? Ah, tennis. Looks to be good when you get used to it, very involving physically, although the timing and angling of the controls are quite difficult at first- You attempt a smooth top spin back hand and the ball is hit into the grandstands. Chatting to one of the nintendo girls reveals a fun little workout involving holding both wii motes and playing against yourself (now that would be a sight to see). Finally, the gameplay of zelda looked intense; there was a fishing or dungeon demo to choose from (just seeing that lure bobbing around brought back flashbacks of tiptoeing around the pond in OoT and finally reeling in that Hylian Loach). As for the Dungeon demo, arrows were fired, boomerangs were thrown and bosses were brought to their knees. I will say that this zelda will offer much diversity in terms of its puzzles. Gone will be the days of shooting neverending fire arrows through torches in place of shooting ropes to release bridges and summoning cycles to coordinate wind fans. Start holding your breath boys, it'll be worth it.
After failing to break into the Warehouse or any doors marked 'confidential', the fantastic staff at Nintendo kicked us all out and we went on home, thinking about what we'd just played. 40 or so days to go, it's amazing to know that the release is this close. Seems like only yesterday that the next gen of consoles were years away. Good times.
