Zwei Millionen PS3s in England

Mit zwei Millionen verkauften PS3s und drei Millionen verkauften PSPs, erfreuen sich Sonys Konsolen in Großbritannien großer Beliebtheit und haben jetzt eine wichtige Hürde genommen.

Laut Ray Maguire hat vor allem Killzone 2 viel zum Erfolg beigetragen. In dem Ego Shooter von Guerilla sieht er eine wegweisende Serie mit Zukunft.


"We've seen not just a really good day one ? but also for the game to be a good solid seller all the way through We?ve got good bundles out there with hardware and software and that has picked up nicely according to our early numbers. It certainly has helped drive hardware I think there were a lot of people out there who wanted something which really showed the power of PlayStation 3 ? and now they can see it it?s a reason for them to get on board."

Aus den neuesten Finanzberichten von Rockstar North geht hervor, dass das Actionspiel Grand Theft Auto IV weltweit nun über 13 Millionen mal verkauft wurde und der Blockbuster rund um Nico Belic somit wohl zu den erfolgreichsten Games in der Geschichte zählt.

Die Japaner haben es endlich gerafft, dass Nintendo nicht mehr das ist, was es mal war.
Dass die PS3 soweit oben ist freut mich ungemein (für Sony)

Ewig können Wii Sports und Wii Fit auch nicht Käufer anziehn.

11.03.09 - Capcom hat von Resident Evil 5 in der ersten Woche insgesamt 399.000 Einheiten verkaufen können. Das meldet Enterbrain, das Spiel kam am 05.03.09 auf den Markt.

Die PS3-Version konnte 320.000 Mal verkauft werden, die Xbox 360-Fassung kommt auf 79.000 Einheiten.

Killzone 2 exceeds 1 million copies sold

On retail shelves for just about 2 weeks, the PS3 exclusive has now sold over 1 million copies. On the opening weekend, Killzone 2 went on to sell about 700,000 copies in North America and Europe. Over the course of the next week, it went on to sell another 300,000 copies, which represents a drop off of about 50% - a pretty decent showing considering the title was launched in a non-holiday period. In total, the game has sold about 1.05 million copies thus far.

Mit einer wirklich beeindruckenden Zahl meldet sich jetzt David Gosen, seines Zeichens Vize-Präsident des Marketings von Microsoft zu Wort.
In Europa wanderte die Xbox 360 inzwischen mehr als 8 Mio. mal über die Ladentische.
Na, da drücken wir doch mal die Daumen, dass man in diesem Jahr noch die magische 10 Mio. Grenze knacken wird, oder?
